Join our bustling warehouse in Austin, Texas, as a Picker/Packer and be a crucial part of our order fulfillment process. We are looking for energetic and meticulous individuals to accurately select items and prepare them for shipment. This role is vital to our Logistics chain, ensuring that our customers receive their orders correctly and on time. You will be responsible for navigating the warehouse, identifying products, and ensuring they are packed with care to prevent damage during transit. A strong focus on Safety and efficiency is essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using RF scanners or pick sheets, ensuring the correct items and quantities are selected.
- Inspect picked items for any defects or damage before packing.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into designated shipping boxes, using appropriate packing materials to ensure product safety.
- Apply shipping labels and any necessary documentation to outgoing packages.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and dollies to move products.
- Assist with receiving and put-away of incoming inventory as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and contribute to overall warehouse Safety.
- Meet established productivity and accuracy standards for picking and packing.
- Follow all company guidelines related to Logistics and customer service.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is a plus.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the warehouse for the duration of the shift.
- Capable of Lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety protocols and the importance of using PPE.
- Basic math skills for order verification.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
