Our Omaha, Nebraska facility is looking for a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our logistics department. This role is essential for ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards and carrier requirements. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for preparing shipping documents, verifying shipment contents, and coordinating with carriers for pick-ups. A strong emphasis is placed on safety, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to all warehouse safety procedures. While direct heavy lifting may be less frequent than in other warehouse roles, the ability to assist with moving packages and materials is necessary. You will work closely with warehouse staff and logistics coordinators to ensure a smooth and timely shipping process. We are looking for individuals who are organized, possess strong administrative skills, and are committed to accuracy and efficiency. - Preparing and verifying all shipping documentation, including bills of lading and shipping labels.
- Confirming order accuracy against shipping manifests.
- Coordinating with shipping carriers for scheduled pick-ups and deliveries.
- Entering shipment data into our logistics management system.
- Ensuring all packages are correctly labeled and packaged for transit.
- Maintaining organized shipping records.
- Following all safety guidelines and using required PPE.
