Our San Diego, California facility is seeking a diligent Inventory Clerk to manage and maintain accurate inventory records. This role is critical for our **logistics** and supply chain operations, ensuring that we have precise data on stock levels, locations, and movements. You will be responsible for conducting regular inventory counts, investigating discrepancies, and updating our inventory management system. A keen eye for detail and a strong sense of organization are essential. This position contributes directly to operational efficiency and **Safety** by minimizing errors and ensuring product availability. The role requires physical activity, including **Lifting** and moving items, and strict adherence to **Safety** protocols. You will work collaboratively with warehouse and operations teams.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Update inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) or other tracking software.
- Assist in receiving and put-away processes to ensure accurate data entry.
- Identify and report damaged or expired inventory.
- Maintain a clean and organized inventory storage area.
- Ensure compliance with all **logistics** procedures and **Safety** regulations.
- Generate inventory reports as required by management.
- Coordinate with **logistics** and operations teams on inventory-related matters.
- Handle **Lifting** and movement of inventory items during counts, not exceeding 30 lbs.
- Ensure all **PPE** is worn correctly when working in designated areas.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Inventory Clerk or in a similar **logistics** role preferred.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including **Lifting** up to 30 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Knowledge of warehouse **Safety** best practices.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to wear required **PPE**.
