Job Summary:
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our **logistics** team in San Francisco, California. This role is crucial for ensuring the timely and accurate shipment of goods to our customers. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for preparing shipping documents, coordinating with carriers, and verifying outgoing shipments. Your meticulous attention to detail will directly impact customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. You will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring strong communication and organizational skills. Maintaining **Safety** in the shipping area is a top priority, and you will ensure all procedures are followed. This role involves **Lifting** of smaller packages and managing shipping supplies.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and process all shipping documentation, including bills of lading and packing slips.
  • Schedule and coordinate pickups with various shipping carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, USPS, freight).
  • Verify that outgoing shipments match order details and are correctly packaged.
  • Track shipments and provide updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain organized shipping records and files.
  • Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and **Safety** protocols.
  • Operate shipping software and warehouse management systems.
  • Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, carriers, and customer service teams.
  • Assist with **Lifting** and moving packages as needed.
  • Ensure appropriate **PPE** is used in the shipping area.
  • Contribute to the overall **logistics** flow by ensuring timely dispatch of orders.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar **logistics** role is preferred.
  • Proficiency in shipping software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with warehouse **Safety** procedures.
  • Ability to perform light **Lifting** of packages.
  • Willingness to wear required **PPE**.
