We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Miami, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient movement, storage, and retrieval of materials within our warehouse facility. Your duties will include operating material handling equipment, loading and unloading trucks, organizing inventory, and ensuring the safe and orderly flow of goods throughout the distribution center. This position is critical to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, possess strong organizational skills, and have a keen eye for detail. A strong commitment to workplace safety is essential, and you will be required to adhere to all safety regulations and utilize appropriate PPE at all times. Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and dollies.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Organize and stack inventory in a safe and efficient manner.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Identify and report any damaged materials or equipment malfunctions.
- Follow all logistics and warehouse operational procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency in operating material handling equipment.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 60 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the use of PPE.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic communication skills.
