We are seeking a meticulous Receiving Clerk to join our team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for all incoming goods, ensuring that deliveries are accurately documented, inspected, and processed efficiently. You will be responsible for verifying shipment contents against purchase orders, noting any discrepancies, and ensuring proper storage of received items. A sharp eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy are paramount. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn correctly at all times to ensure your safety. - Receive and unload incoming shipments accurately.
- Verify contents against purchase orders and shipping manifests.
- Inspect goods for damage or defects and report any issues.
- Document all received items in the inventory management system.
- Organize and stage received goods for put-away.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE.
- Operate pallet jacks and hand trucks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Must have the ability to handle lifting of up to 40 lbs.
