Join our busy Atlanta, Georgia facility as a Forklift Operator and play a key role in our logistics operations! We are looking for a reliable and experienced individual to operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, load, unload, and stack materials within our warehouse. Your ability to handle materials with precision and care will ensure the smooth flow of goods through our distribution center. This position demands a strong commitment to safety, adherence to operational procedures, and the ability to work productively in a dynamic warehouse environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up) safely and efficiently to move inventory.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Stack and organize inventory in designated areas.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Follow all warehouse safety regulations and protocols, including the mandatory use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with order picking, packing, and shipping as needed.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Accurately record movement of goods as required.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of the logistics team.
- Report any safety hazards or incidents immediately.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Valid forklift certification is required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of forklift operation safety procedures.
- Familiarity with warehouse layouts and inventory management principles.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Commitment to adhering to all safety standards and wearing PPE.
