We are seeking enthusiastic Picker/Packers to join our team in Durham, North Carolina. In this role, you will be central to ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently prepared for shipment. Your duties will involve picking specified items from warehouse inventory and carefully packing them according to our quality standards. This position demands a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work productively in a fast-paced logistics environment. You will use scanning technology to track inventory and order fulfillment. Adherence to strict Safety protocols, including the consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is paramount to ensuring a safe workplace for everyone. This role requires the ability to handle moderate Lifting and requires standing and moving for extended periods. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer order items from designated warehouse locations.
- Verify picked items against order documentation to ensure accuracy.
- Pack items securely and efficiently using appropriate packaging materials.
- Label packages correctly for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station and contribute to overall warehouse tidiness.
- Operate hand-held scanners and other warehouse equipment.
- Adhere to all Safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Meet established productivity goals for picking and packing.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or damaged goods to supervisors.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or general warehouse operations is advantageous.
- Ability to stand and walk for the majority of the shift.
- Must be able to perform frequent Lifting of items up to 30 lbs.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse technology and scanning equipment.
- Commitment to Safety and proper use of PPE.
- Basic understanding of logistics and order fulfillment processes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
