We are looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to manage and maintain accurate inventory records at our San Diego, California facility. This role is vital to our logistics operations, ensuring that we have precise data on stock levels to meet customer demands efficiently. You will be responsible for tracking inventory movement, performing regular cycle counts, and resolving discrepancies. Key responsibilities include:
- Accurately recording inventory levels, including receipts, disbursements, and adjustments.
- Conducting regular physical inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure data accuracy.
- Investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Maintaining organized inventory storage areas, ensuring proper labeling and placement of goods.
- Assisting with the receiving and put-away of new inventory.
- Generating inventory reports as required by management.
- Collaborating with warehouse staff to improve inventory management processes.
- Ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Supporting logistics operations by providing accurate inventory information.
- Identifying and reporting any damaged or obsolete inventory.
This position requires excellent organizational skills, a methodical approach to tasks, and the ability to work with inventory management software. While extensive physical lifting may not be the primary focus, the ability to move around the warehouse and handle inventory is necessary. We emphasize a safe working environment and expect all employees to follow safety guidelines. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency of our supply chain and the satisfaction of our customers.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a related field.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Understanding of logistics and warehousing principles.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following all safety procedures, including PPE requirements.
