As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials throughout the warehouse using powered industrial trucks. Your role is critical to our logistics operations, ensuring that inventory is transported to and from storage areas, loading docks, and production lines. We require certified and skilled operators who understand the importance of precision and safety. This position involves frequent lifting and maneuvering of heavy loads, so physical fitness is important. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move, pick, stack, and load materials.
- Transport goods from receiving to storage areas and vice versa.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Inspect forklift equipment daily for safety and maintenance issues.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and guidelines.
- Utilize appropriate PPE at all times.
- Assist with inventory counts and warehouse organization as needed.
- Work collaboratively with warehouse staff to ensure smooth logistics flow.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations.
- Ability to perform lifting and material handling tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and focus on safety.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced logistics setting.
