We are actively seeking skilled Forklift Operators to join our state-of-the-art logistics facility in Columbus, Ohio. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials throughout the warehouse, contributing to the seamless flow of goods and ensuring operational efficiency. This role requires a strong commitment to Safety, precision in operation, and a thorough understanding of warehouse logistics. You will play a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting all warehouse functions. We are looking for experienced operators who prioritize safety and productivity.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, load, unload, and stack materials.
- Safely transport inventory to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform routine pre-operation checks on forklift equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Assist with receiving, stocking, and order picking processes as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements and inventory locations.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures, including traffic rules within the facility.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of obstructions.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and assist in maintaining inventory integrity.
- Wear all mandated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times while operating equipment and on the warehouse floor.
- Manage the safe Handling of materials, including occasional manual Lifting up to 50 pounds, following proper techniques.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification and a minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Proven knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace Safety and the ability to follow safety guidelines meticulously.
- Physical ability to perform tasks, including occasional Lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in tasks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends if required.
