As a Cloud Solutions Architect at AWS, you will guide customers through understanding the principles of crafting highly scalable, flexible, resilient, secure, and cost-efficient cloud architectures. You will be a trusted advocate, assisting organizations as they navigate their journey to the cloud, whether they are startups or large enterprises. Linking technology with measurable business value is crucial in this role, and you should possess the ability to think strategically about technology, business, and the challenges they face. We are in search of candidates who thrive at the intersection of technology and business. You should show proficiency in various technological domains while having deep expertise in a few key areas. While you may not need to be an expert in every aspect, a strong foundational knowledge and willingness to learn about complex technologies are essential. Excellent communication skills are vital, as you will engage daily with customers via email, calls, and meetings. Interacting with developers, team leads, engineering directors, and CxOs is a significant part of the role. Additionally, creating content such as reference architectures and blog posts for a broader audience will enhance your effectiveness in this position. We value soft skills as well; the ability to adjust your communication style according to the audience and to pick up on non-verbal cues and unspoken motivations is important. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with the sales team to develop and implement strategies that exceed revenue targets through AWS adoption. Educate customers on the advantages of AWS and engage in deep architectural discussions to ensure successful cloud deployment. Establish strong relationships with senior technical stakeholders to foster cloud advocacy. Conduct impactful training sessions for customers considering or currently utilizing AWS. Share best practices and knowledge within the AWS Solutions Architect community. Play a pivotal role in the business development and sales team, supporting the migration and development of applications, software, and services on AWS. Contribute to AWS publications like whitepapers to share insights and knowledge. Act as a technical liaison between customers and product teams to enhance the AWS platform. Be prepared for 25%-40% domestic travel, depending on your location. A Day in Your Role: You will engage with C-Level executives, technical leaders, developers, and infrastructure managers while driving customer success in their cloud journeys. Your technical experience will help alleviate challenges, and your ability to anticipate these challenges will be invaluable. Basic Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures. 4+ years of experience in specific technology domains (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics). 10+ years of IT development or consulting experience in the software or Internet industries. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in software development or Internet-related sectors. Experience migrating legacy systems to the cloud. Familiarity with AWS technologies from a DevOps standpoint. The base salary range for this position is as follows: Boston: 131,300.00 - 177,600.00 USD annually New York: 144,500.00 - 195,400.00 USD annually
