Welcome to Redstone Hall School, a vibrant new establishment in Ipswich dedicated to nurturing the potential of pupils aged 5 to 18 with complex needs. With a capacity for 30 students, we provide a safe and supportive environment where every child is valued and empowered.

Your RoleAs our SENCO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational journey of our students. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the strategic development of SEN policy and provision
- Designing and delivering targeted interventions to close attainment gaps
- Monitoring pupil progress in line with their EHCPs
- Conducting annual reviews and acting as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead
- Collaborating with multi-agency teams and leading Early Help initiatives
- Supporting individual learning plans in partnership with teachers and parents
- Coordinating day-to-day SEN operations and maintaining accurate records
- Providing guidance on effective teaching programs and behavior management
- Overseeing intervention groups and evaluating their impact
- Ensuring smooth transitions for pupils between schools
- Teaching commitment (50/50) with a preference for secondary Science experience
To thrive in this role, you should possess:
- Qualified Teacher Status
- National Award for SEN Co-ordination, or a willingness to pursue the NPQ for SENCOs
- Experience in school self-evaluation and development planning
- A background in teaching within an autism/SEMH school
- Experience in delivering training and leading INSET
- A solid understanding of the SEND Code of Conduct
- A commitment to ongoing professional development
