We are looking for an experienced and capable Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team in St. Louis, Missouri. This role is crucial for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment. The Warehouse Supervisor will manage a team of warehouse associates, delegate tasks, and ensure that all logistics processes are carried out according to company standards. You will be responsible for inventory control, order fulfillment, shipping, and receiving. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of warehouse management systems, and a commitment to operational excellence. You must be adept at problem-solving and possess excellent communication abilities to effectively guide your team. Your leadership will directly impact our supply chain's efficiency and our ability to meet customer demands. We prioritize the Safety of our staff and expect all supervisors to champion safety initiatives and ensure compliance with all regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position involves overseeing tasks that require significant Lifting and physical exertion from the team, and you must ensure these are performed safely. A comprehensive knowledge of Logistics and best practices in warehouse management is essential. Your role is pivotal in fostering a positive team dynamic and driving operational success.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff.
- Ensure efficient and accurate order picking, packing, and shipping.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct cycle counts, and reconcile discrepancies.
- Oversee the receiving process, verifying incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Implement and enforce Safety policies and procedures, including proper PPE usage.
- Train and mentor warehouse associates, providing guidance and feedback.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflow to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and operational performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues as they arise.
- Drive continuous improvement in warehouse operations and Logistics.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and Logistics.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Excellent understanding of Safety regulations and experience implementing them.
- Ability to effectively manage tasks involving significant Lifting and physical labor by the team.
- Proficiency in using required PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
