We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in San Diego, California. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving and preparing orders for shipment. This role is crucial to our supply chain operations, ensuring that our customers receive their items correctly and on time. You will work in a fast-paced warehouse environment, utilizing technology and equipment to fulfill orders accurately. A strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety are paramount for success in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders using an RF scanner or pick list.
- Verify product information and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and order pickers (training provided).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Meet established productivity goals and quality standards.
- Properly package items for shipment, ensuring they are protected during transit.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
- Be aware of your surroundings and maintain situational awareness to prevent accidents.
Qualifications:
- Previous warehouse or order picking experience is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Basic reading and math skills.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures is preferred.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, including safety vests and gloves.
- Experience with logistics or distribution environments is advantageous.
