Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain effective inventory control procedures.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure data accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
- Manage inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS), ensuring real-time updates.
- Monitor stock levels, forecast needs, and recommend adjustments to optimize inventory.
- Ensure proper organization and storage of inventory to prevent damage or loss.
- Analyze inventory data and generate reports for management.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to improve inventory processes.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- May require occasional lifting of items up to 30 pounds.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar inventory management role.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of inventory control principles and best practices.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of logistics and warehouse operations.
Safety Emphasis:
While this role focuses on data and processes, maintaining a safe working environment is essential. You will be required to follow all safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE, especially when moving within the warehouse. Awareness of safe practices, even for minor lifting or handling of inventory, contributes to the overall safety of our logistics operations.
