We are looking for a dedicated Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our team in Nashville, Tennessee. This position plays a vital role in our supply chain operations, ensuring that all incoming and outgoing shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. You will be responsible for managing the flow of goods, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring that our warehouse operates smoothly and safely. Our Logistics department is focused on continuous improvement, and we seek individuals who are eager to contribute. Safety is our top priority, and adherence to all procedures is mandatory.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming freight.
- Verify contents against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately document and record all received and shipped goods.
- Prepare shipments for dispatch, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently (certification may be required).
- Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Keep the shipping and receiving areas clean, organized, and hazard-free.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Coordinate with carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or safety concerns to management promptly.
This role involves frequent Lifting of packages and materials up to 50 pounds. A background in Logistics or warehouse operations is advantageous.
