We are seeking a meticulous and organized Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Baltimore, Maryland. As a Shipping Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely dispatch of all outgoing shipments. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency within the warehouse environment. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documents, verifying package contents, and coordinating with carriers to schedule pickups. Your efforts will directly impact customer satisfaction and the overall success of our distribution operations.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately process all outgoing shipments, including verifying order details and preparing shipping labels and documentation.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers (UPS, FedEx, USPS, etc.) to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Conduct quality checks on outgoing packages to ensure they are properly packed, sealed, and labeled.
- Maintain an organized and clean shipping area, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments (e.g., inventory control, customer service) to resolve any shipping discrepancies or issues.
- Operate shipping equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks, ensuring safe operation at all times.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on safety and security.
- Assist with inventory management tasks as needed, such as cycle counts and stock replenishment.
- Ensure compliance with all **PPE** requirements when handling goods and operating machinery.
- Be prepared for **Lifting** up to 50 lbs occasionally.
