We are looking for a skilled Material Handler to join our operations in Salt Lake City, Utah. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient movement, storage, and tracking of materials within our warehouse facility. Your duties will include operating material handling equipment, managing inventory, and ensuring a safe and organized work environment. A strong understanding of logistics, a commitment to Safety, and the ability to work effectively are essential. We provide comprehensive training and all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials.
- Stock materials in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper organization and accessibility.
- Transport materials to and from various points within the facility.
- Perform regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counts.
- Ensure that all materials are handled and stored in accordance with company procedures and Safety guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
- Assist with picking, packing, and shipping operations as needed.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our logistics operations.
- Be able to perform frequent lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Certification or experience operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks is highly preferred.
- Understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics.
- Strong commitment to workplace Safety and the use of PPE.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
