We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Forklift Operator in Austin, Texas. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, stage, and store products. Your role is crucial to the seamless functioning of our Logistics operations, ensuring timely handling of goods. A strong emphasis is placed on workplace Safety, and all operators must strictly follow Safety guidelines, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires physical stamina for regular Lifting and maneuvering of materials.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Perform routine checks and maintenance on forklifts before and after shifts.
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and trailers efficiently and accurately.
- Transport goods to and from designated storage areas, supporting the Logistics chain.
- Assist with inventory counts, stock rotation, and organization of warehouse space.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including mandatory PPE usage.
- Report any equipment issues or safety hazards immediately to management.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure operational efficiency and timely order fulfillment.
- Perform physical tasks, including manual Lifting and moving of items as required by the job.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator license or certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center.
- Solid understanding of forklift operations, Safety regulations, and warehouse procedures.
- Ability to perform physical duties, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Proficiency in basic Safety practices and the use of PPE.
- Familiarity with warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to Safety.
- Experience with various types of forklifts is preferred for this Logistics role.
