We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our thriving logistics center in San Francisco, California. The Shipping Clerk is crucial for ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company and carrier regulations. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documentation, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring that packages are properly labeled and staged for pickup. This role requires a meticulous approach and a commitment to operational excellence. If you have experience in shipping or logistics and a strong desire to contribute, this is the role for you.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process all outgoing shipping documentation, including bills of lading and manifests.
- Verify shipping information against orders to ensure accuracy.
- Schedule pickups with various shipping carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, USPS).
- Ensure packages are correctly labeled and sorted by destination.
- Load outgoing shipments onto trucks, coordinating with forklift operators when necessary.
- Maintain an organized and clean shipping area.
- Track shipments and resolve any delivery issues.
- Follow all Safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE .
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related warehouse role is essential.
- Proficiency with shipping software and carrier portals.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform moderate Lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Familiarity with supply chain and logistics best practices.
