We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Warehouse Supervisor to lead our dynamic team in Chicago, Illinois. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining a safe working environment. Your leadership will be crucial in managing inventory, coordinating shipments, and optimizing workflow. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong commitment to achieving operational excellence within our fast-paced logistics environment.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and train warehouse staff, providing guidance and performance feedback.
- Oversee inventory management, including receiving, stocking, picking, and shipping processes.
- Ensure all operations are conducted in compliance with company policies and safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Monitor and manage the efficient flow of goods within the distribution center.
- Implement and maintain established safety protocols to minimize risks and accidents, especially concerning heavy lifting and equipment operation.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless logistics and timely delivery of products.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and operational activities.
- Identify areas for improvement in operational efficiency and implement solutions.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure a clean and organized work environment.
- Manage scheduling and resource allocation to meet operational demands.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and leadership skills, a proven track record in warehouse supervision, and a deep understanding of logistics and supply chain management. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus. A strong emphasis on safety and efficient handling, including significant lifting requirements, is paramount.
