We are looking for a diligent Material Handler to join our logistics team in St. Louis, Missouri. This role is essential for the efficient movement and organization of materials within our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery, to load, unload, and transport goods. Additionally, you will assist with inventory management, ensuring materials are correctly stored and tracked. A strong understanding of warehouse operations, safety protocols, and equipment operation is required. We are committed to a safe working environment, and all employees must strictly adhere to safety procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safe lifting techniques. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Move materials from receiving to storage areas, and to production/shipping areas.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Ensure materials are stored correctly and organized.
- Maintain equipment in good working condition and report any issues.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including proper lifting techniques and PPE usage.
- Keep work areas clean and organized.
- Assist with shipping and receiving duties as needed.
- Contribute to a positive and safe team environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating material handling equipment (forklift certification a plus).
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, up to 70 pounds.
- Good knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Strong commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
- Attention to detail and good organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and work ethic.
