Are you looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity? We are hiring an Order Picker in Huntsville, Alabama. In this role, you will be instrumental in our warehouse operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently fulfilled. Your primary responsibility will be to navigate our warehouse to locate and retrieve specific items requested on order tickets. This requires excellent spatial awareness and the ability to work with various inventory systems, potentially including RF scanners. Accuracy is key, as you will be responsible for verifying that the correct items and quantities are picked. Following the picking process, you will prepare items for shipment, which may involve consolidating picks, staging them for packers, or directly packing them yourself. We prioritize the safety and well-being of our employees. All necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided, and extensive training on safe work practices, including proper lifting techniques and equipment operation, will be part of your onboarding. This position involves a considerable amount of physical activity, including walking, bending, reaching, and lifting items frequently. The ability to consistently lift up to 45 pounds is essential. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products based on customer orders using pick sheets or RF scanners.
- Verify picked items against order requirements.
- Consolidate and stage picked items for packing or shipment.
- Ensure picked items are in good condition.
- Maintain a tidy and organized work area.
- Follow all company safety policies, including the use of required PPE.
- Assist with inventory checks and cycle counts.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to a supervisor.
- Operate material handling equipment as trained and certified.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to pick orders accurately.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 45 pounds regularly.
- Experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is a plus.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols.
