We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our growing logistics operation in Boise, Idaho. This critical role involves operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, stack, load, and unload materials within our warehouse. You will play a key part in ensuring the efficient flow of inventory, supporting both receiving and shipping functions, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. A strong understanding of safety protocols and efficient material handling is essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to transport materials throughout the facility.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Place inventory in designated racking and storage locations, ensuring proper stacking and stability.
- Retrieve inventory for outgoing shipments, verifying order accuracy.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and operational procedures.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace, ensuring clear aisles and work areas.
- Assist with inventory control tasks, including cycle counts and discrepancy reporting.
- Ensure the proper use of all required PPE and promote a strong safety culture among colleagues.
- Support warehouse operations as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA compliant).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable forklift operating experience in a warehouse setting.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts and material handling equipment.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks requiring physical dexterity.
- Strong understanding of logistics processes and inventory management.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Commitment to adhering to all safety guidelines and wearing mandated PPE.
