We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our logistics team in Columbus, Ohio. This position is key to ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our inventory management systems. You will be responsible for maintaining optimal stock levels, minimizing discrepancies, and implementing effective inventory control strategies. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and full physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve all inventory discrepancies promptly and efficiently.
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust inventory control procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels, identify potential issues, and provide actionable insights.
- Track the flow of goods within the warehouse, ensuring accurate record-keeping for receipts, transfers, and shipments.
- Ensure proper organization, storage, and handling of inventory to prevent loss or damage.
- Collaborate closely with warehouse associates, supervisors, and management to reconcile inventory data.
- Generate comprehensive reports on inventory accuracy, stock status, and operational metrics.
- Champion a culture of safety by adhering to all safety regulations and ensuring proper use of PPE.
- Assist in training warehouse personnel on inventory management best practices.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and WMS is required.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Excellent organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform tasks requiring moderate physical activity.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- A strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all guidelines.
