As an Order Picker, you will use scanners and pick lists to locate items within the warehouse, ensuring that the correct products and quantities are selected. This role is crucial for our logistics operations, directly impacting customer satisfaction. You will work in a dynamic environment and must be committed to maintaining accuracy and speed. Safety is our top priority, and adherence to all safety procedures, including the use of appropriate PPE, is mandatory. This position involves a significant amount of walking, standing, and may require lifting of items. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on order lists and scanner data.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Pack items securely for shipment.
- Transport picked items to the packing or shipping area.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station.
- Follow all safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, such as stocking or inventory checks.
- Meet or exceed picking productivity goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous order picking experience is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and item numbers.
- Proficiency with handheld scanners.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices.
