We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator for our busy logistics hub in Austin, Texas. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to manage the movement of goods within our facility. This includes loading and unloading trucks, transporting inventory, and stocking materials in designated areas. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety are crucial for maintaining operational efficiency and preventing accidents. You will work closely with other warehouse personnel and supervisors to ensure seamless logistics flow. Strict adherence to all safety regulations, including the mandatory use of appropriate PPE, is expected. This role requires the ability to perform physical tasks, including significant lifting of materials. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently in a warehouse setting.
- Load and unload freight from trailers and containers.
- Move pallets and inventory to and from storage locations.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts.
- Follow all warehouse safety rules and wear required PPE.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, such as cycle counting.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks).
- Valid forklift certification or license.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Familiarity with logistics operations.
