We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Portland, Oregon. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our warehouse facility. This role is critical to our daily operations, ensuring that goods are received, stored, and dispatched accurately and on time. You will operate various types of forklifts, including sit-down, stand-up, and reach trucks, to load and unload trucks, move pallets, and stock inventory. Adherence to all safety protocols and procedures is paramount. You will work closely with warehouse supervisors and other team members to maintain a productive and organized work environment. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently.
- Stock and retrieve inventory from shelves and racking systems.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report any issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
