This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurately picked, packed, and prepared for shipment. As a Picker/Packer, you will navigate the warehouse using scanning equipment, locate specific items, and assemble orders with precision. You will then package these items securely, ensuring they are ready for transport, and affixing necessary labels. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, enjoys a physically active role, and understands the importance of safety in a warehouse setting. Proper use of PPE is required at all times. This position involves significant lifting and requires a candidate comfortable with repetitive motion and standing for extended periods. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on order tickets.
- Use RF scanners and other equipment to track inventory.
- Pack items securely and efficiently for shipment, ensuring product protection.
- Verify order accuracy before packing and labeling.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for dispatch.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and work area.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety procedures and wear designated PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as needed.
- Communicate with supervisors regarding any discrepancies or issues.
- Contribute to the smooth flow of logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous picking and packing experience is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand order forms and labels.
- Comfortable with standing and walking for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds consistently.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and PPE.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
