We are seeking an organized and efficient Shipping Clerk to join our team in Orlando, Florida. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately, timely, and in compliance with company and carrier regulations. Your duties will include preparing shipping documentation, coordinating with carriers, verifying package contents against orders, and loading shipments onto trucks. This role is essential for maintaining smooth logistics operations and ensuring customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A solid understanding of shipping procedures and carrier requirements is beneficial. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required documentation.
- Verify package contents against customer orders for accuracy.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Load outgoing shipments onto delivery trucks safely and efficiently.
- Track shipments and provide updates as needed.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and logs.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Adhere to all Safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE.
- Communicate any shipping issues or delays to relevant departments.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a shipping clerk or in a related logistics role is preferred.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and carrier portals.
- Basic computer skills, including MS Office.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety protocols.
