Are you a skilled technician passionate about maintaining warehouse operations? Our facility in Austin, Texas is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of warehouse equipment, including conveyor systems, automated machinery, forklifts, and other material handling equipment. You will perform routine inspections, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently. Your expertise is crucial for minimizing downtime and supporting our overall logistics and distribution efforts. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a problem-solving mindset, and a comprehensive understanding of Safety procedures. You will be instrumental in keeping our operations running smoothly and preventing potential hazards. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance on all warehouse machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Install and configure new equipment as needed.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of all equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Ensure all work performed adheres to Safety standards and regulations.
- Operate specialized tools and equipment for repairs and diagnostics.
- Respond to equipment malfunctions and troubleshoot issues promptly.
- Adhere to all site-specific Safety policies, including the proper use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Experience with material handling equipment and conveyor systems.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Commitment to Safety and adherence to best practices.
- Must be able to handle occasional tasks involving Lifting up to 75 lbs.
- Familiarity with logistics operations is a plus.
