We are looking for dedicated Picker/Packers to join our team in Detroit, Michigan! This role is essential for ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from warehouse shelves based on order specifications and then carefully packing them for shipment. A high level of accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail is paramount. You will be working within our fast-paced logistics environment, utilizing scanning technology to manage inventory and track orders. This position involves significant physical activity, including frequent Lifting and movement throughout the warehouse. Maintaining a clean and organized workspace and adhering to all Safety guidelines are critical aspects of this job. The successful candidate will be a team player, eager to contribute to the smooth operation of our distribution center. We provide a safe working environment and require the consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Verify picked items against order requirements to ensure accuracy.
- Pack items securely and efficiently, selecting appropriate packaging materials.
- Label packages correctly for shipment.
- Assist with the staging of packed orders for outgoing transport.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by reporting discrepancies or issues.
- Operate pallet jacks and other light warehouse equipment as needed.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations, including proper Lifting techniques and the mandatory use of PPE.
- Keep work area clean, organized, and free of obstructions.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily picking and packing goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, picking, or packing role preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and perform frequent Lifting throughout the shift.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and the correct use of PPE.
- Must be able to work independently and meet performance standards.
- Reliable attendance and a positive attitude.
