Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Warehouse Coordinator to oversee and manage daily operations at our Sacramento, California facility. This leadership role requires a blend of organizational skills, operational knowledge, and the ability to motivate a team. You will be responsible for coordinating the flow of goods, managing inventory levels, optimizing workflow, and ensuring the efficient and safe operation of the warehouse. This includes supervising warehouse staff, enforcing safety regulations, and implementing best practices in logistics. A thorough understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and a commitment to maintaining a secure and compliant environment, including the strict adherence to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines, are crucial. This role may involve occasional lifting and physical oversight of warehouse activities.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
  • Coordinate staff schedules and assign tasks to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Manage inventory accuracy through regular audits, cycle counts, and system reconciliation.
  • Implement and enforce safety procedures, ensuring compliance with all regulations and promoting a safety-first culture.
  • Train and mentor warehouse associates on operational procedures and safety protocols.
  • Monitor and maintain equipment, arranging for repairs or maintenance as needed.
  • Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization for maximum efficiency.
  • Liaise with management, suppliers, and transportation providers.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure the proper use and availability of all required PPE.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Coordinator, Supervisor, or similar leadership role in logistics.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and supply chain principles.
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement operational strategies.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and experience enforcing PPE requirements.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and move items up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
