We are looking for experienced and reliable individuals to manage the movement of goods within our expansive logistics facility. As a Forklift Operator, you will be instrumental in maintaining the efficient flow of products, from receiving to dispatch. You will operate forklifts to transport, stack, and retrieve inventory, ensuring accuracy and preventing damage. Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials.
- Perform routine inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock placement.
- Organize warehouse space to maximize efficiency and accessibility.
- Pick and stage orders for shipment as directed.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the work area.
- Collaborate with other warehouse personnel to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- Certified forklift operator with at least 1 year of experience.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and procedures.
- Ability to read and understand shipping documents and product labels.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to work different shifts as required.
Safety Requirements:
Employees are required to wear designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times, including safety helmets and steel-toed boots. Familiarity with safe lifting practices and proper load management is crucial. All forklift operations must comply with OSHA standards and internal safety guidelines to ensure the safety of all personnel within our logistics operations. Regular safety drills and training sessions will reinforce our commitment to a secure working environment.
