We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Picker/Packer to join our dynamic logistics team in Portland, Oregon. As a Picker/Packer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of customer orders. You will be responsible for accurately picking items from warehouse shelves according to order slips and then carefully packing them for shipment, ensuring product integrity and presentation. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from designated warehouse locations using order sheets or scanning devices.
- Inspect picked items for damage or defects.
- Package items securely and efficiently, selecting appropriate shipping materials.
- Label packages accurately with shipping information.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure order accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all warehouse safety protocols.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as needed.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks, with proper training.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or picking/packing role is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand order forms and labels.
- Basic math skills for order verification.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
Safety Requirements:
All employees are required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety shoes and vests, as mandated by safety regulations. Adherence to all safety guidelines and procedures is paramount to ensure a safe working environment for everyone.
