We are looking for a reliable and organized Receiving Clerk to join our warehouse team in Seattle, Washington. In this key role, you will be responsible for the initial intake of all incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation. Your duties will include unloading shipments, inspecting items for damage, verifying contents against purchase orders, and stocking materials in their designated locations. This position is fundamental to our **logistics** operations and requires a keen eye for detail and a strong adherence to **safety** standards. You will be working closely with suppliers and internal departments, so clear communication is important. Proper use of **PPE** is mandatory, and the role may involve moderate **Lifting**.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming shipments.
- Verify goods received against purchase orders and shipping documents.
- Document any discrepancies, damages, or shortages.
- Enter receiving data into the inventory management system.
- Tag and label incoming items as required.
- Transport received goods to appropriate storage areas using pallet jacks or other equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all company **safety** policies and procedures.
- Wear all required **PPE**, including **Lifting** aids when necessary.
- Support overall warehouse **logistics** by ensuring accurate and timely receiving.
- Perform other related duties as assigned, which may include some **Lifting**.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, warehouse, or inventory control preferred.
- Ability to read and understand shipping documents and purchase orders.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, walk, and perform moderate **Lifting** (up to 40 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of warehouse **safety** practices and the importance of **PPE**.
- Understanding of basic **logistics** principles.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
