Join our bustling warehouse in Des Moines, Iowa, as a Picker/Packer! We are looking for diligent individuals to accurately pick customer orders and prepare them for shipment. This role is fundamental to our logistics process, ensuring that our customers receive their orders correctly and on time. You will be responsible for selecting items from shelves, verifying quantities, packaging them securely, and labeling them for dispatch. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy are essential. This position requires a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Maintaining a clean and organized workspace is also part of your duties. We emphasize workplace safety , and all employees are required to follow established procedures and wear the appropriate PPE . While not the primary focus, some degree of physical activity and occasional Lifting may be involved. Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves according to order lists.
- Verify item numbers and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
- Label packages correctly for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
- Wear required PPE at all times.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as needed.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of warehouse logistics .
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in picking and packing is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to read and understand order forms and product labels.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Willingness to follow safety protocols and wear PPE .
- Ability to perform tasks involving some manual dexterity and occasional Lifting .
