Our Seattle, Washington **logistics** hub is looking for a skilled Warehouse Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the operational efficiency and **Safety** of our warehouse equipment and facility. This includes performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring all systems are functioning correctly. You will work with a variety of machinery, contributing to the smooth flow of goods. A strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, combined with a commitment to **Safety**, is essential. This role requires problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The role may involve some **Lifting** and the use of **PPE**.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on warehouse equipment, including forklifts, conveyors, and sorting machines.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues with warehouse machinery.
- Ensure all equipment is operated in a **Safety**-compliant manner.
- Conduct **Safety** inspections of the warehouse facility and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Assist in the installation of new equipment and systems.
- Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions and operational issues.
- Ensure compliance with all **logistics** operational standards and **Safety** regulations.
- Operate forklifts and other machinery as needed for maintenance or **Lifting** tasks.
- Wear appropriate **PPE** at all times when performing duties.
- Contribute to overall **logistics** efficiency through proactive maintenance.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mechanics or electrical systems preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a warehouse or **logistics** environment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with various types of warehouse equipment.
- Knowledge of **Safety** procedures and regulations.
- Ability to perform **Lifting** and handle tools and equipment.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to wear **PPE**.
