We have an exciting opening for a Shipping Clerk in our busy Boston, Massachusetts location. This critical role ensures that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with shipping regulations. As a Shipping Clerk, you will manage documentation, prepare shipments, and coordinate with carriers, playing a vital part in our logistics process. Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping labels and documentation accurately for all outgoing orders.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for pick-ups and deliveries.
- Verify that orders are correctly packed and labeled before dispatch.
- Maintain shipping records and track shipments using the warehouse management system.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Communicate with other departments to resolve any shipping-related issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE.
- May involve some lifting of packages, up to 30 lbs.
- Support the efficient operation of the overall logistics department.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience as a shipping clerk, logistics coordinator, or in a similar role preferred.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and warehouse management systems.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Basic understanding of lifting and packing requirements for safe transit.
- Familiarity with standard PPE.
