Job Summary:
We are looking for a diligent Material Handler to join our team at our facility in Columbus, Ohio. This role is critical for the efficient movement and organization of materials within our warehouse, supporting our comprehensive logistics network. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing a variety of goods. Your contributions will directly impact the speed and accuracy of our operations. This is a physically demanding role that requires a proactive approach to warehouse management and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
  • Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and inspect for damages.
  • Organize and store materials in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper stock rotation (FIFO).
  • Operate material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts if certified) safely and efficiently.
  • Prepare materials for outgoing shipments, including kitting and staging.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and by reporting discrepancies.
  • Ensure all work areas are clean, organized, and free from hazards, adhering to strict safety standards.
  • Wear appropriate PPE at all times, including safety glasses and gloves.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 60 lbs.
  • Support the overall logistics flow and contribute to a productive warehouse environment.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a material handler or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
  • Proficiency in operating pallet jacks and other basic material handling equipment.
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including consistent lifting and moving of materials.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Must be reliable and have a strong work ethic.
