Seeking a reliable Picker/Packer for our busy distribution center in Orlando, Florida! This role is crucial for ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from warehouse shelves according to order specifications and then carefully packaging them for shipment. This is a hands-on position that requires attention to detail, speed, and efficiency. You will work with a variety of products, requiring careful handling and product knowledge. A commitment to maintaining a safe work environment is paramount; you must follow all safety guidelines and utilize the required PPE at all times. This role involves significant physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on order sheets.
- Use RF scanners to track picked items and update inventory.
- Inspect picked items for any defects or damage.
- Package products securely and efficiently for shipping, ensuring proper labeling.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace and contribute to overall warehouse tidiness.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and the proper use of PPE.
- Meet daily picking and packing performance targets.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed.
- Understand and follow all logistics procedures.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or equipment issues.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a picker, packer, or in a general warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Capability to lift up to 45 lbs regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational skills and ability to work at a fast pace.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Understanding of basic safety procedures in a warehouse environment.
