Join our growing logistics team as a Shipping Clerk in Houston, Texas! We are looking for a reliable and organized individual to manage the outgoing shipments for our busy warehouse. In this critical role, you will ensure that all orders are accurately picked, packed, and prepared for dispatch. Your attention to detail and efficiency directly impact customer satisfaction and the smooth flow of our supply chain. You will be responsible for verifying order accuracy, preparing necessary shipping documentation, and coordinating with carriers to ensure timely departures. A strong understanding of logistics processes is beneficial, but a willingness to learn and a dedicated work ethic are most important. Safety is our top priority; therefore, adherence to all safety procedures and the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is expected. This position requires the ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving packages of varying weights and sizes. - Accurately process outgoing shipments, ensuring all orders are complete.
- Prepare shipping labels, bills of lading, and other documentation.
- Package items securely to prevent damage during transit.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for pickup schedules and tracking.
- Maintain organized records of all shipments.
- Follow all warehouse safety guidelines and use appropriate PPE.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Must be able to handle lifting up to 50 lbs.
