Our dynamic Distribution Center in Indianapolis, Indiana, is looking for energetic Distribution Center Associates to join our team. In this role, you will contribute to the efficient flow of products through our facility, performing tasks such as receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping. Your dedication to accuracy and safety is paramount to our success in logistics and ensuring customer satisfaction. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately stock and organize inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick and pack customer orders efficiently using RF scanners and pick lists.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring correct labeling and packaging for transit.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (certification required for forklifts).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all housekeeping standards.
- Follow all company safety protocols and procedures, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Participate in inventory control activities, including cycle counts and stock verification.
- Collaborate with supervisors and colleagues to meet daily operational and logistics objectives.
- Perform general warehouse maintenance and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching throughout the shift.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Understanding of safety regulations within a logistics setting.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions.
- Good communication skills.
