Our facility in Milwaukee, Wisconsin is seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining the operational efficiency and safety of our warehouse environment. Responsibilities include performing routine maintenance on warehouse equipment, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring that all machinery operates at peak performance. You will also be involved in inventory management and assisting with general warehouse duties as needed, contributing to the overall logistics of our supply chain. A strong understanding of mechanical systems and a commitment to safety are essential. Expect to work with various tools and equipment, and familiarity with safety protocols, including the use of PPE, is required. Occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs may be necessary. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, conveyor belts).
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime.
- Ensure all machinery is operating safely and efficiently.
- Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Conduct safety inspections of warehouse facilities and equipment.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities and inventory of spare parts.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Properly use all required PPE.
- Support warehouse staff with operational tasks as needed.
- Contribute to the smooth functioning of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex machinery.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and PPE usage.
- Ability to perform occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
