Are you a detail-oriented individual looking for a dynamic role in Virginia Beach, Virginia? We are hiring a Picker/Packer to manage the accurate and timely preparation of customer orders. This position is key to our **logistics** chain, ensuring our customers receive the correct items promptly. You will be responsible for retrieving items from shelves, verifying order accuracy, and securely packing them for shipment. A strong emphasis on **safety** and efficient workflow is paramount in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order lists.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently, selecting appropriate packaging materials.
- Label packages correctly for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment, such as hand trucks.
- Follow all **safety** procedures and wear required **PPE**.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a picker/packer or in a warehouse setting is a plus.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform moderate **lifting** (up to 30 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of warehouse **logistics** and order fulfillment.
- Commitment to workplace **safety** and adherence to all guidelines.
- Must wear required **PPE** at all times.
