Join our vibrant logistics team as a Distribution Center Associate in sunny San Diego, California! This versatile role is essential to the smooth operation of our distribution center, encompassing a range of tasks from receiving and stocking to picking and preparing orders for shipment. As a Distribution Center Associate, you will contribute directly to our ability to serve our customers efficiently and effectively. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain broad experience in warehouse operations and logistics.
Responsibilities:
- Perform various warehouse duties including receiving, stocking, order picking, packing, and shipping preparation.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers (certification may be required).
- Accurately pick items for customer orders using RF scanners or pick sheets.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently, ensuring product integrity during transit.
- Conduct inventory checks, cycle counts, and assist with stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, strictly adhering to all Safety guidelines.
- Load and unload trucks as needed.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet operational goals and deadlines.
- Wear and maintain all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Perform manual tasks involving Lifting and moving of goods up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a distribution center, warehouse, or logistics role is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate various types of warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Proficiency with RF scanning technology is a plus.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks requiring frequent Lifting, bending, and standing.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong team player mentality.
- Understanding of Safety best practices in a warehouse setting.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
