Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Warehouse Technician to join our dynamic team in Portland, Oregon. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing warehouse equipment, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our distribution center. This role is critical to our overall logistics operations, and a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems is essential. You will work closely with the operations team to identify potential issues and implement preventative maintenance schedules. Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative maintenance on warehouse machinery, including conveyor belts, forklifts, and automated systems.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns efficiently and safely.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
  • Assist with inventory management of spare parts.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
  • Participate in training sessions to stay updated on new technologies and maintenance procedures.
  • Contribute to a safe and productive work environment.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role, preferably in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Experience with various types of warehouse equipment.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that involve frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Vocational training in a related field is a plus.
