Are you a committed and enthusiastic individual looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people? LCS is seeking passionate Residential Childcare Support Workers to join our team! You’ll work full-time (35 hours) plus 2 sleep-ins per week, with opportunities for additional hours.
Your role will involve working on a rota basis, which may include evenings and weekends. Flexibility in your availability is essential!

Your RoleAs a Support Worker, you will:
- Engage, motivate, and encourage young people in their individual flats or shared houses.
- Ensure a safe, welcoming, and healthy environment for the young people you support.
Your duties will include:
- Offering practical support and guidance in line with individual care plans to help young people develop essential life skills and achieve educational goals.
- Maintaining positive relationships with young people, staff, and professionals through effective communication.
- Supporting young people in Education, Employment, and Training, including documenting their progress towards accredited qualifications.
- Building community links with educational provisions, sports centers, and youth clubs.
All applicants must have:
- Flexibility for shift work, including sleep-in nights, evenings, and weekends.
- A Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma, Children and Young People's Workforce, NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, or a willingness to pursue this qualification.
- Experience with attachment and trauma (desirable).
- Experience with challenging behavior and/or mental health issues (desirable).
- An understanding of the challenges faced by young people in care.
- A full driving license and access to a vehicle (desirable), though good public transport links are available.
- Intermediate computer skills.
