Contract: 35 hours per week plus sleep-in shifts
Salary: Basic salary of £22,367.80, with potential earnings up to £27,983.80 including sleep-in shifts

LCS is on the lookout for passionate Residential Childcare Support Workers to join our team! You’ll work full-time (35 hours plus 2 sleep-ins per week) with opportunities for additional hours.

Your RoleAs a Support Worker, you will engage, motivate, and encourage young people in their individual flats or shared houses. Your responsibility is to ensure a safe, welcoming, and healthy environment for those in your care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide practical support and guidance aligned with individual care plans to help young people develop essential life skills and achieve educational goals.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with young people, staff, and professionals through effective communication.
- Support young people in Education, Employment, and Training, documenting their progress and submitting evidence to instructors.
- Foster community connections, such as educational provisions, sports centers, and youth clubs.
All applicants must have:
- Flexibility in availability for shift work, including sleep-in nights, evenings, and weekends.
- A Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma, Children and Young People's Workforce, NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, or a willingness to pursue this qualification.
- Experience with attachment and trauma is desirable.
- Experience with challenging behavior and/or mental health issues is desirable.
- An understanding of the challenges faced by young people in care.
- A full driving license and access to a vehicle is desirable, though good public transport links are available.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- On-the-job accredited training.
